When I first started Record Your First Song (and Make it Sound Great!) I did a section on session drummer, after I got it done I learned that Cakewalk no longer came with Session Drummer but I had it because I bought Cakewalk way back when it was included. I decide to keep this video active because a lot of the information crosses over to SI Drum Kit but also there are some people out there that might also have Session Drummer or something close to it. I’m going to do a video in the future on how to hack SI-Drum Kit so that it’s a lot more flexible, when I do I’ll make it a part of RYFS so that everyone can use it. If you can’t wait and you feel stifled by the sonic limitations of SI-Drum Kit there are lots of Midi drums out there you can buy that are a lot more flexible.
So anyway, this is sort of an addendum to: How to Set up and Use SI Drum Kit. I think it will help seeing more of what’s possible with a more flexible set up.
